For those who didn't know this already, I've been running a group of elementary school kids on various RPGs. Today several things happened...

1. It's spreading! Actually, it's getting to the point where I had to split them into multiple groups. We've got a morning group, an afternoon group, and one that only plays Fridays [mostly because they wanted a magic school setting, which is taking a ridiculous amount of work for me because I designed everything from scratch. Yes, system included.] I've run all sorts of things this past week--from fairies to monkeys on a space station to superheroes. Current big project is one that will actually be educational AND fun, since it's time-traveling secret agents running a delivery service. "Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to bring this top hat to Abraham Lincoln on the day of the Gettysburg Address!" at which point our somewhat defective teleport device drops them off on an alien spaceship....anyway.

2. It's spreading, only in a different way! I can hardly believe this myself...but I've now got several of the PARENTS starting their own group because the kids are having so much fun.

3. Aforementioned monkeys in space game? Sat the kids down, handed out dice and tokens, and said, "Okay, so you're monkeys in a space station--" "Can we draw our monkeys?" "...Huh? Oh. Sure. Draw your monkeys." "Mine's named Benji!" "Mine's and alien monkey visiting the space station from another planet!" etc etc. Haha, I wasn't expecting that! These kids are officially corrupted, victory is mine!

...this is the best day evar.
